CORY M. MARSH
Cory Marsh is Associate Professor of New Testament at SCS. A committed churchman, Cory is passionate about restoring the “pastor-scholar” role and is a four-time graduate of SCS: BA in Biblical Studies (summa cum laude); Master of Arts in Biblical Studies; Master of Divinity (academic distinction); and Master of Theology (academic distinction). Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Biblical Theology at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO under the supervision of Andreas J. Köstenberger. Additionally, Cory has served in various pastoral ministry roles at local churches teaching the Word of God in congregational, small group, and evangelistic settings. A frequent conference speaker and published author, Prof. Marsh’s research interests are in the fields of biblical theology, Johannine literature, and hermeneutical theory. He is a member of The Evangelical Theological Society, The Evangelical Philosophical Society, The Society of Biblical Literature, and the Council on Dispensational Hermeneutics. He is also a founding member of the Center for Dispensational Thought at SCS.
Cory is married to his high school sweetheart, Shannan. The two live in Orange County, CA with their cat Wednesday and enjoy horses, hiking, and Dodger games. Presently, Cory and Shannan are members of Mission Bible Church, a church dedicated to the weekly verse-by-verse exposition of Scripture in the city of Tustin, CA.
